The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) represents a living tribute to the RAF aircrews of World War II. Operating from RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire since 1976, the BBMF fleet includes:

  • 5 Supermarine Spitfires
  • 2 Hawker Hurricanes
  • 1 Avro Lancaster bomber
  • 1 Douglas Dakota
  • 2 de Havilland Chipmunks

Each year, the BBMF performs in hundreds of airshows, flypasts, and commemorative events across the UK. These appearances often include dramatic flyovers with the iconic Lancaster flanked by a Spitfire and Hurricane, showcasing the RAF’s proud heritage.
